On a daily basis, Tanja has reported on social media about her HSCT treatment in Moscow. Tanja has been back home since November 8th, 2018 and as soon as she is a bit more fit, the information on this website will be updated.

The reports from Russia could be followed via social media, but now that the year is almost complete, these blogs will also be updated here on the website! In this way, future HSCT people can perfectly read how an HSCT treatment proceeds (without having to scroll a full year back on social media). They’re coming and being published bit by bit!

Hey hello! My oh my, what a special ride we had in the first half of 2018. This is how it started…

My name is Tanja, 35 years and living together with Simon and our kids of five and two years old in the Netherlands. 3 Years ago I started the blogsite “Mama with MS” to share positive experience stories under the alias “Elisa” because it was all about the message and not about myself. Never I could have imagined that Mama with MS would become a foundation, but on the other hand, I also would never have guessed that this disease, Multiple Sclerose, diagnosed in 2014, would have such an aggressive course. Now I’m going to drop my veil. I am no longer Elisa, I am Tanja and I need help. Time is ticking… I need a stem cell transplant abroad.

We had a great crowdfunding from March till July 2018 with only lots of warmth, love and beautiful people 🙂

With the following poem (click to read in ENG) the crowdfunding was started at March 7th. My oh my… unbelievable what happened next; on Facebook alone, the message was shared so massively that it was seen by more than 73,000 people! Exactly 4 months later on July 7th the final fundraiser was organized and on that evening the target got met. 🙂

A lot of people have supported and followed us the past year. Our gratitude and the warmth we have felt can hardly be described. It was a special experience, but of course we are not there yet. Other people can be helped as well.

But first things first… for Tanja, it is very important to focus on her recovery. In addition, we notice that an enormous number of people with MS have also started their search for information about HSCT treatment. It might take some time (as it is a lot of work), but of course we would like to share all the valuable information that the foundation has collected to help everyone else on their search. We have created a HSCT information section with lots of information and new info is still being added.
